There are instances of customers receiving great customer service many times. This is when the service provider or customer support do not cut slack and are following the protocol to provide great customer service and experience. However, some companies go beyond that and give their employees extraordinary freedom to perform exceptional customer support.

This was a very wonderful experience for me.
I was in Bangalore for six days during March’12.
After spending 3 days at the IIMB campus, I went to Bellandur to stay at a friend’s place. Now I wanted to have some novel for my return journey to Nagpur.
So I ordered one from Flipkart.
I thought it would take a maximum of 3 days to reach me. But I was wrong.
I didn’t recieve it till the eve of my journey date.
As I needed it badly and had paid for it, I called their toll-free number around 9 PM.
The customer care executive asked me about my plan for the next day towards Yashwanthpur Station from where my train departs.
I told him that I will be leaving by 8 o’clock and that I will be reaching ISCKON Temple by 9.30. After spending around 1 Hour in Temple I will be at Station.
I also told him, “I need this badly.”
Next morning when I woke up, they started calling me and they were following up with me every half an hour ( Even though I was travelling in a rickshaw)
Finally they delivered my book at the Yashwanthpur Station on my seat in the Train.
I thanked the guy and offered him some sweets 🙂
