FoodPine – Food Delivery in Guntur
Food Delivery in Guntur

As Guntur gets busier and going onto the main roads seems like war, we needed someone to handle food delivery in Guntur, here is a service which will deliver anything related to food to your table. All with just a simple phone call. At this time of this post, myself, friends and family had used the service for over 10 times and the review is based on the feedback and service experienced.

While there are countless companies offering home delivery in larger cities, Guntur never really had a reliable service which could be relied on to bring home delicious food from restaurants. In the past few months, FoodPine is striving hard to fill the gap. The idea is very simple, you could be wanting a dosa from Varalakshmi Tiffin Centre or a biriyani from ITC Subhani, for that matter, you could even want a can of coke, just call FoodPine and place the order. We have used FoodPine on a few occasions now and never have we been let down. The guys even go to the place and read out the menu to you.

The pricing structure is simple just like their service. They charge Rs. 20 for orders under Rs. 200 and or from non-affiliated restaurants. In other words, if you order for over Rs. 200 from a restaurant they are affiliated with, you pay nothing, if your order is under Rs. 200 you incur a charge of Rs. 20. This has been a godsend for me and many of my friends, imagine avoiding the traffic, taking out your car, waiting at the restaurant and all this is taken care of for Rs. 20. All we hope is that Gunturians will support this initiative and stabilise this service to an extent that when Swiggy or Foodpanda do enter Guntur, we have a local business that can stand up to the competition. Most recently, I noticed that they sometimes charge delivery charges of more than Rs. 20 for restaurants which are quite far and that is quite understandable.

What we would like to see is a more professional approach to answering the phone calls, a uniform to the person delivering, an Identity card and a website which we can be used for ordering. While we are pretty sure all these are in the pipeline, for the moment, we are entirely happy with what FoodPine has been up to.
